2012. Gonna be a Big Year.

Well, yes it has been a while, but heres to looking ahead and not behind.

I have been thinking about what to do for new resolutions for this year and i have decided that all of my resolutions are going to be things that only i can control. If i can't control it, then who's to know if it will really happen.

So this year these are the things that i will do, work on, or continue doing:

-Physical Goals-

Work out at least THREE times a week. I would like it to be FIVE times, but i'll start with three. It's simple and can be done.
Do everything in my power to get those abs i've always wanted. Whether this means i do P90X 2 or crazy dieting i don't care. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!
Run more. I want to do a Ragnar, another marathon (been since 2005. Seven years!), and maybe a half marathon in there too.

-Personal Goals-

I want to do everything i can to get out of debt. I know there is no way that i can pay off all my student loans, BUT i can pay off everything else this year EASILY! I just need to control my spending habits and that is going to take some time.
Treat others the way i want to be treated. I am a sarcastic person, but some time people take it literal and it gets me into trouble. This year i am going to be nicer and really work on complementing others.
No more swearing. I used to be so good at this. Then for some reason i became a sailor and i am not a fan.

-Spiritual Goals-

I want to continue with last years goal of going to the temple every week. I only missed three weeks last year. So here's to another amazing year.
I need to go to all of church. I tend to only stay for the first hour then leave, but now i am in a ward where it's reversed and i think this is really going to help me with this. It will make me stay for the most important part.
Read my scriptures every day. I have set this goal before and never achieved it, so here's to MY year. I can do this and it will be easy, i just have to stick to it.

I am not great at setting goals with numbers cause i never keep track, but some other goals that i am going to work on this year are:

Read more books. Not just ones by celebrities, REAL BOOKS.
Help others more. With anything really: babysitting friends kids (and my niece and nephew), clean the house more, or just finding things i can help with.
Increase my knowledge of social media. If that means reading books about it, taking classes, or watching webinars.

I am turning 30 in two days and didn't really worry about it until now. Always felt like i should have a LOT more done with my life, but looking back i have really accomplished a lot. And i have so much more to get done.

I have always been obsessed with style. Lately it's been more and more of the style of Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) from Gossip Girl. I recently purchased season 4 on dvd and that's all i've been watching.

So what is it about his style that works? Well lost of things, but what i have been loving in this last season was sporting the small flower on his lapel. It's a great addition and something that can be changed any time.

Time to Up My Clientele

I am currently working on starting my own business and really just getting my dream going. I have always wanted to do something with clothes, but i am no designer by any means, but i love clothes.

So as you have seen before i am working with stylist Jen Clyde and she is amazing. I have always been a fan of shopping and taken plenty of people shopping with me and helped them pick some great things.

I figured why not try to do this myself too. I have one client that i just worked with and we had a great time and i really was able to help her get her closet organized (being that i am basically OCD i love to organize everything).

Now i am no professional, but this is something i love to do. So why not try it out and see if i can get a clientele of people that could use my services? So are you interested? I can really work out some deals with you and try to get you a price that fits your finances.

I am currently working with Jen Clyde Stylist. Of course i have been doing her social networking, but i also get the privilege of going on pulls, doing TV segments, created her website, and go do styling and other things with her.

Since there has recently been multiple things in the news lately about LDS men not getting married and how we put it off so much i felt it appropriate to share MY feeling on the topic.

I personally feel that i am the exception to this because i have dated and been pretty close to getting married, but the GIRLS didn't want it.

So, i felt that i should share what i am looking for in a woman AND what she can expect from ME.

HER

I hear that i am picky...well that is NOT true. Here are some examples of what i'm looking for....

Height is not an issue. Tall or short: i like them all.

She also has to have FUN! not always be serious.

Skinny or curves. I like EITHER!!! and i'm a fan of the LONG dark hair, but i'm willing to negotiate.

And if she wants to work out with me, that is great! we'd have a TON of fun:)

So am i asking too much already? i don't think so!

Now, here's what you're gonna get if you decide that i am the guy for you.

I hear there is a language of love. Everyone shows there love in different ways. I tend to show mine by buying the girl things:

I have a thing for Tiffanys...so hope you like the box with the white bow.

I buy flowers just because they make you happy. i don't need a special occasion.

I love buying clothes. not just for myself, but for HER too.

and one day, that BIG DIAMOND RING:)

I'm a runner. I love to run in marathons and half marathons. I even to triathlons if you're interested.

I love adventure and i LOVE to travel to FUN places.

Fashion...is it for me?

I recently was able to attend fashion week in New York city and had the time of my life. I have always been into style and fashion and the crazy world that revolves around it, but here is my dilemma-what in fashion would i want to do and HOW do i get myself into it?

I have been thinking about doing a Utah Fashion Blog, but the problem is, there is no real fashion going on here in Utah. I see the same things over and over, but when there is something that is out of the ordinary people make fun and shun that away.

Well, i am currently working on creating this Utah blog, but need input. What would you like to see on it?

I love to do video footage, but of what? Local fashion shows? Local designers? What would YOU want to see from me?

I am also trying to decide if i want to go into STYLING and CLOSET ORGANIZING. Would this be something YOU would be interested in me doing for YOU???

I need to create a styling portfolio and the only way for me to do that is by doing these things for FRIENDS. Then to have the word spread and start getting a clientele.

SO, give me your feedback. YOU INTERESTED???

Usually, people will wear what everyone else is wearing....not me! i like to wear what i want to wear. And if people don't like it, that's okay, but...

Don't judge me and call me names for being different.
Don't assume that i am something that i am not because i can dress better than you.
And if you don't like what you see....STOP LOOKING AT ME!

It's okay to wear white pants after Labor Day, just don't throw on the white shoes!

A camel sweater is a MUST have year round...especially in the fall though.

Sometimes it's great to mix up some color, but this time i kept it DARK!

I think to decided to take on TOO much this semester.

I am taking on a lot and i am just hoping i get through it:

-12 credits of classes: Intro to public relations, Spanish 2, Multimedia Image production, and the school paper aka The Forum.

-2 internships: one is for my dad campaigning which i thought would be easy since it's my dad...NOPE!!!! and the other is working for Your Next First were i blog a TON, make videos all the time, have to create a new educational power point to show at high schools, contact schools in the salt lake valley to get more coverage for YNF, and get more people to go to the website. So it's a LOT!!!

-Working 30 hours a week tellering in west valley. It's a job, but i have been doing it for 2 and a half years and it's the same thing day after DAY!!!

-my CALLING. i am the activities committee chairman and so not only do i have to plan all the activities for the ward, BUT i also have to get people to come to them AND be at them.

i am just doing a TON and ready for school to be DONE in APRIL!!!

So if you don't ever see me very much or when you do see me i look stressed, it's because i AM!!!

p.s. i don't know HOW i do it, but i always find time to watch the Kardashians and the Real World Road Rules Challenge. need SOME outlet in my life.

Summer Time is Going by TOO FAST!!!

i was thinking the other day, "DANG!!! i judge people A LOT!!!" so i thought who better to judge me than....well, ME!!! so here are some pics where we can ALL say, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???"

So, lets start with the OBVIOUS!!! Now i KNOW that i thought the shirt was FUNNY, but funny doesn't always come across as funny to everyone. Plus, the shirt made me look WAY bigger than i really was. NEVER flattering!!! But all in all, this PICTURE was funny:) ha ha ha ha...

WOW!!! okay, lets start from the TOP and work our way down!!! FROSTED TIPS??? granted they were the thing to do, but so was HUGE bangs in the 80's and look at how we ALL make fun of that NOW!!! then the red, white and blue...i KNOW it wasn't 4th of July, so what was i thinking. PLUS, you can't see them, but i am wearing the BIGGEST shoes EVER!!!

Just NOT good...

and finally...a more recent picture. Now this one i don't dis so much for the color choices. THEY'RE GREAT!!! i don't care one anyone thinks, BUT IRON YOUR SHIRT!!! did i REALLY think that wasn't going to be NOTICEABLE?!?!?!? WOW!!! NEVER go out with a shirt THIS wrinkled!!!! TOTALLY JUDGING!!!!

well, we can't end on a BAD NOTE!!!!!

So...this is one of my FAVORITES!!! now granted this IS another red,white and blue outfit, BUT this time it WAS 4th of July. Also, the colors aren't so DARK, they blend well together and with my tan skin it all looks GREAT!!!

So there you have it. i judge people. BUT i judge myself even HARDER!!!

For a family home evening we did for my ward we did an IRON CHEF type activity. We had 2 teams and picked either a dessert or appetizer. Then depending on what you got you were giving an ingredient that you HAD to use. The secret ingredient for the appetizer was RADISHES and for the dessert was RICOTTA CHEESE!!! ha ha ha ha ha....so check out the pictures and see how it went:) SO FUN!!!!

SO my friend Danny is basically a trainer and helps you figure out what you need to eat, BUT not crap that you don't WANT TO EAT!!!

Before i moved to California i used to take the temples for granted. They were always so close to us here in Utah and there were SO MANY OF THEM!!! you never really had to go out of your way or even take a whole day to have to go to the temple. So what am i getting at here? well, we have so MANY temples here and never take the time to go and see them ALL....BUT my dream isn't to go to all the Utah one, but to take a CALIFORNIA TEMPLE TRIP!!! wouldn't that be SO FUN!!! just start at the top of the state and work my way DOWN...of course i would do it in UTAH TOO, but i just really want to do it in CALIFORNIA:)

so i would start with Sacremento...

then head south west to Oakland...

then go to my mission's temple...FRESNO...

then i'd hit up another BIG temple and go to Los Angeles...

after that i'd head south east to REDLANDS..

of COURSE you have to go coastal and hit up NEWPORT...one of my favorites;)....

and END it all at my FAVORITE and where i WILL get married ONE DAY....

So i found out today that i MIGHT be going to Hawaii with my whole family this summer:) SO....this means, WORK OUT WORK OUT WORK OUT!!!! morning, noon, and NIGHT!!!! no more getting up and turning off the alarm and getting back in bed, not going to the gym at night, and not swimming between classes EVERY DAY!!! Well well well...i haven't written on here ALL YEAR!!! Sorry bout that!!! i have been so busy with school and work. Just trying to get things in order, BUT i should at least post on here once a month AND even try for every other week. i'm kind of a big deal and ALWAYS have something to write about:) ha ha ha ha...

so what's the latest and greatest in MY LIFE??? well, i have recently joined a group at work called YOUR NEXT FIRST were i blog, make VIDEOS and manage a certain area on the page every 3 months. I like to plan AHEAD for the next year and what i want to accomplish. So here is just a few things that i want DONE for 2010!!!!

1. USE MY PASSPORT: not only do i want to use it, but i want to go to Ireland, Thailand, and would LOVE to go to JAPAN!!!

2. RUNNIN runnin, and runnin runnin....: i have done a half marathon ever since i did my first FULL marathon. Maybe for 2010 i do ANOTHER FULL MARATHON!!!

this is me finishing my FIRST marathon...couldn't believe that i DID IT!!!

3. My saying for 2009 was, "2009, is lookin pretty FINE!" but i think for 2010 it going to be, "2010, i better be MARRIED BY THEN!!!" ha ha ha ha....

4. Clearly if i am going to have #2&3 happen then #4 needs to happen, which is GET IN SHAPE!!!!

5. I want to either FINISH school, OR only have a SEMESTER left by the end of the year!!! i can't keep going to school anymore because it is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

6. I want to do something that i have NEVER done before...whether that be a century ride, Half ironman, or some other crazy sport type adventure...I WANT TO DO IT!!!

7. Going to the Temple at least ONCE a month, if not EVERY WEEK!!! friends are MORE than welcome:)

8. I want to be more well rounded. Want to be PERFECT, so when that right girl finds me she doesn't have to do everything. I clean like a CHAMP! Do my own laundry! But my weakness is COOKING! so i want to start collecting recipes and making them:) that way i can cook, clean, and have the whole house ready for my wife:)

9. Start saving money instead of SPENDING IT!!! just an idea....

my own private jet. if you look at it, in the long run i will be saving money will all the traveling that i do. so it's a great investment!!!

a shopping spree to NORDSTROMS, J CREW, BANANA REPUBLIC, and of course ABERCROMBIE!!! ha ha ha ha...i can't ever leave it!!!

a trip to Thailand:) mostly to visit my aunt and uncle, but OF COUSRE to see the sites there!!!

i'm not getting thinner, so i think i would like a BIGGEST LOSER PERSONAL TRAINER!!! i need someone that makes me throw up because i worked out so hard:)

a trip to my FAVORITE city....NEW YORK!!! I LOVE IT!!!

a weekend in a NEWPORT BEACH beach house:) friends could come too:) SO FUN!!!

this week has been so busy with projects and papers for work, no days off from work, and try to plan my singles ward christmas party!!! AHHHHHH....that really is all i can say!!! so much stress that i am just ready to have DONE WITH!!!! after next week is over i will be back to my regularly scheduled blogging...just sayin!!!

glad this was on youtube to watch...totally made my day!!! OBSESSED!!! she really is a GREAT person:) sick of people judging her just like i get sick of people judging ME!!! ha ha ha ha...

busy busy BUSY!!!

i have been doing NOTHING but work and SCHOOL WORK!!! totally driving me crazy, BUT the good news is...the semester is ALMOST over!!!! this week is probably going to be the worst! i have a ten page paper due tomorrow along with a final rough draft of an editing handout that i had to make for my editing class. THEN i also have a test in my media and culture class tomorrow night:( BUT that is NOTHING compared to what i have due for my advertising class and business and professional communication classes. Advertising we have an ad campaign that is due by the end of the week and we are presenting it in front of the WHOLE communications department. should be interesting. we are basically done with most of it, just have some finishing touches and run through our presentation, but then that will be out of the way. the BIGGEST thing i am working on is my 25 page paper for b&p comm where i am having to analyze an organization that i have worked for, or in my case, am currently working for. It's just a lot of writing that i really don't want to do, but that is due next week and i have been talking with the teacher constantly to make sure that i am on the right track. other than that, i have a christmas party with some old friends from high school friday night (at least i think it's friday night), working every day this week, work christmas party thursday night, and i am sure i have TONS more things that i can't even think of. AHHHHHH.....pretty sure i could go crazy this week. ha ha ha ha ha....just sayin!!!

ANTHONY RAPP!!! he was in Rent, Dazed and Confused, but my FAVORITE was Adventures and Babysitting...and that is what i told him. i said, "i loved you in adventures and babysitting." he just looked at me and said, "i've been in a lot of stuff since then." ha ha ha ha...i say the DUMBEST things when i am star struck!!!

And finally DENZEL WASHINGTON ladies and gentleman!!! i have NO clue why he is making that face, but it was way cool meeting him. the only way we could meet him was if we had a program of the show he was in, so i asked this lady if we could have one of her programs to have him sign it for her cause i wanted to get a picture with him. ha ha ha...there is ALWAYS a way to work the system!!!

So i tried to be thankful for something every day this week...looks like i did a pretty good job:) ha ha ha ha...

This week i think i am going to try for FUN memories every day and post a picture to go with them....this could get tricky because most of my older pictures are either scrapbooked OR just in photo albums some where. But that is what you have to prepare yourself for THIS week...

So this was only 5 years ago. We were on a cruise and jill had told my parents that she was pregnant with my nephew preston. So any ways...we would play bingo every night for $20 for one of these cards. Well, we needed to get a T (either upside down, or regular) and apparently we got it. My dad said to yell BINGO so i did!!! Long story short, WE WON $750!!!!

BEST DAY EVER!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha...

WHERE DO I BEGIN?!?!?! now if you know me, you KNOW that i am NOT a sportsaholic, BUT i do enjoy watching and playing them. well, when it come to the byu UTAH game i am OBSESSED!!! and this year was NO DIFFERENT!!! but the calls were reDIC and the plays just got stupid. utah when the throw to your left doesn't work EVERY 2nd down...STOP DOING IT!!!! and the dumb refs that would call EVERYTHING on UTAH got out of control. but i will admit, it was a great game and kept me on the edge of my seat like i knew it would:) ha ha ha....just sayin!!!

i put this as a question because i am STILL not sure if i am glad that i didn't get up this morning to hit any of the deals:) ha ha ha ha ha....for the past couple years i have been going with my sister and it was always about going where ever she needed to go because we were getting toys for preston. well, this year she couldn't go and i didn't want to go ALONE!!! LOSER!!! ha ha ha...so i just slept in. Now i am wishing i had gotten up and experienced the madness. it really is kinda fun and i could have gone to places that I wanted to go to...oh well!!! there is ALWAYS next year...just sayin!!!

Being a day of THANKS i guess i should say another random thing that i am thankful for....WELL, about 4 years ago i was in a car accident with a great friend of mine. I was driving on the freeway in california and we had just gone up to San Fran for the day to see a movie there (RENT) and we were driving back. Well, everything was fine, when all of the sudden we went over the edge of the low shoulder. there wasn't a sign and i started to fish tail. next thing i knew we were cutting across 3 lanes of traffic and almost hit by a HUGE black truck. Well, my wheels caught and we rolled about 3 times through bushes, a fence, and ended in an orchard upside down. i had never been in an accident before, but my friend was out in a second. i just hung upside down in my seat thinking, "what just happened?" i undid my seatbelt and BANG!!! i hit the roof of the car because of this thing called GRAVITY!!! while gas is leaking out of my engine, i was in my car gathering my stuff. i had to get my dvds, the portable dvd player, my hoodie, and of course a signed copy of nicole richey's book. My friend that had gotten out was able to open her door and get out, i on the other hand didn't notice the open door and i climbed out of my window and that shattered. Any ways....long story short, my parents were on a cruise and i didn't know my sister's house number and she wasn't answering her cell. so i called a DEAR friend and just BROKE DOWN!!! i had no idea what to do and i had NO FAMILY to talk to. it was the craziest time of my life, but it made me realize that i have some REALLY AMAZING friends. my friends mom picked us up, friends comforted me when i had NO ONE to talk to, and friends helped me figure out what i was going to do with my car.

so i am thankful for my life, and for the FRIENDS that have been in it to get me through some crazy and TOUGH times. YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!! i love you all:) just sayin....

So today i am thankful that i signed up for the one-to-one classes at the apple store:) ha ha ha ha...i went to one today about photo editing AND making a video that i have been trying to fix FOREVER!!! and we got it DONE!!! (i'll be posting the video once i am totally done with it). but the guy that helped me was SO FUNNY and we had a BLAST just figuring things out and trying to work the systems that i have on this thing. So, keep your eyes open for some edited photos AND a music video REAL SOON!!! ha ha ha ha ha....just sayin!!!

Nothing to do with what i learned today...just a random picture i thought that i'd post. my friend brandon loved my tattoo and wanted something like it...my feet should have been tanner! ha ha ha ha...

i guess i better keep my pace up with updating this thing every day. okay...so i missed saturday and sunday...people need REST!!! ha ha haah...

Well, today is hard. i'm trying to think of what i am thankful for today, but nothing is really coming to mind. of course there is ALWAYS the family, house, job, BLAH BLAH BLAH....but lets make things INTERESTING!!!

So, today i will say that i am thankful for....FRIENDS! haha ha ha....not the ones i have around me all the time!!! NO! i'm talking about the ones i watch all the time...THE TV SHOW!!! ha ha hah a...seriously i LOVE that show...i watch it every night when i am going to sleep and i just roll over and set the sleep timer on the tv and dvd player.

i still laugh every time i watch it. it really is good tv....just sayin!!!

today i am thankful that lady gaga's cd came out at MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT!!! ha ha ha ha ha... don't judge me!!! i am totally obsessed with her...SO much that i bought the cd and went to sleep listening to it...honestly it is the greatest thing to ever happen. clearly, the simple things in life are worth appreciating:) ha ha ha ha....just sayin!

Goals for NEXT WEEK

I have decided to try to make some new goals every week....lets see if i can actually achieve them!!!

1. If i can't say something nice, then i shouldn't say anything at ALL!!!

2. i can't wear any article of clothing twice ALL WEEK!!! this includes shoes and BELTS!!! gonna be tricky, but i think i can pull it off.

3. have to work out AT LEAST 30 minutes EVERY DAY!!!

4. can't eat out for the whole week, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

5. NO CELL PHONE WHILE IN MY CAR!!!! this one is going to be the MOTHER of them all!!! this means no TEXTING or CALLING!!!!

Do you think i will be able to do it? we'll see wont we:) ...just sayin!!!

the goal i ALWAYS wanted to achieve, DENTAL SCHOOL!!! so these are some new goals that i KNOW i can do and be HAPPY DOING THEM!!!

5. I CAN RUN FOR DAYS THERE

...honestly i could go on and on! i love utah for my family, but california is my HOME!!! granted i really LOVE NEW YORK too, but i really don't think i could afford to live there, but i am going to try for an internship there just so that i can say I LIVED in NEW YORK ONCE!!! ha ha ha ha...just sayin!

the semester is coming to an END and of course that means....TESTS are coming out of all the cracks!!! in my business and professional communication i have a test coming up this thursday that is going to be the DEATH of me!!!! not just THAT...but i have a 20+ page paper due by the end of the semester. THEN, i have to do a WHOLE advertising campaign for my advertising class. We have 3 weeks LEFT of school and this is a GROUP project and we haven't even gotten our groups yet. Tell me HOW i am supposed to do well on this project when i can't do anything until my group is made? LAME!!! of course in my other 2 classes i have more papers due. Editing i am sure there is some huge project that i should be working on, but i honestly can't think of what it is. And then for my media and culture class i have an 8-10 page paper that is due by the end of the semester, PLUS i have another exam in that class in about 2 weeks. WHY does school stress people out???? OH, that's right!!!! because teachers get together to RUIN our lives and want us to DIE just trying to get a great grade that really wont mean anything in life later on.

......i'm just sayin!!!!
